My response to Oppenheimer’s Engagement is the image of a lollipop.  The lollipop represents a couple in love, however, the veins at the bottom suggest a challenge or the third wheeler. The hand in the middle means the lovers realize they may have made a mistake but turning back would leave a scar. The two rings in Oppenheimer’s piece are facing opposite directions, which also suggests discordance or an argument.
